The unedited podcast transcript for this episode of the Get Sculpted podcast follows

[Tijana] Hello and welcome back to the Get Sculpted podcast. We are all super excited about this one because we are going to be future pacing. Today, we’re talking about how to create your 2.0 self.

This is important because a lot of us only see what’s right in front of us, but we don’t take a minute to zoom out and define what would be the ideal outcome—what is the actual goal I’m working toward that aligns with my best self?

Maybe you have a goal to lose weight or build muscle, but true transformation doesn’t happen with just physical changes. The real transformation is internal. And unless that internal transformation happens, it’s nearly impossible to sustain external results.

Why Diets Don’t Work

[Tijana] The reality is this: 80% of people regain the weight they lose on a diet. Diets don’t work because they’re short-term solutions. They give you marching orders, you follow them, see the scale drop, and then enter the endless cycle of losing and gaining weight.

If this has happened to you, you’re not a failure. The issue isn’t with your willpower; it’s with the method. To achieve sustainable results, you need to become the type of person who embodies the habits and mindset of someone who stays lean and sculpted year-round.

This isn’t about quick fixes—it’s about creating a lifestyle that aligns with your identity as your best self. That’s what we’re diving into today: building the super sculpted lifestyle—your 2.0 self.

Client Starting Points: Where Are They Now?

Jordanna: Breaking the Diet Cycle

[Jordanna] A lot of my clients come to me wanting to lose weight for the last time. They’ve been dieting for decades, feeling frustrated, and stuck in a loop of inconsistency. They’re tired of weight loss followed by weight gain.

These clients are often in their 30s, 40s, or beyond, and they’re ready to stop dieting for good. They want to reach their goals, stay there, and finally experience what life feels like on the other side of the weight loss journey.

Marilynn: Making Fitness Fit Into a Busy Life

[Marilynn] Many of my clients face a different challenge: they want to take control of their health and fitness, but they’re overwhelmed by their busy lives. They’ve tried diets that required overhauling everything, and they think they don’t have time for sustainable fitness habits. When they come to me, it’s about helping them work smarter, not harder. You don’t need to be in the gym seven days a week or cut out carbs and sugar. It’s about finding strategies that work in their real life, without adding stress or overwhelm.

Tijana: Overtraining and Misguided Goals

[Tijana] The clients that come to me are often already doing a lot—they’re overtraining, doing too much cardio, or focusing on the wrong goals. Many think they need to lose more fat, but their real goal should be building muscle to shape their physique.

My role is to help them work smarter by reducing unnecessary effort and focusing on what will truly move the needle. It’s not about doing more; it’s about doing the right things with intention.

Phase One: Stacking Early Wins

Jordanna: Eating More and Loving It

[Jordanna] In phase one, my clients often experience their first win when they realize they can eat more food while still losing fat. They’re amazed when they hear, “This is too much food,” and yet, they’re seeing results.

Another big milestone is when they start shopping their own closet—fitting back into clothes they once loved but hadn’t been able to wear. That’s always such a joyful experience to celebrate with them.

Marilynn: Building Strength and Confidence

[Marilynn] For my clients, an early milestone is shifting from endless cardio to intentional resistance training. Many work out at home, and it’s so exciting when they say, “I feel stronger. I need to add more weight to my home gym!”

This newfound physical strength translates into confidence and empowerment in all areas of their lives. They’re no longer working out just to lose weight—they’re becoming lifters and athletes.

Tijana: Changing Relationships With Food and Exercise

[Tijana] For my clients, the first win is a mindset shift. They stop exercising to burn calories or get skinny, and instead, they start fueling their bodies with whole foods to strategically change their body composition.

This is about breaking free from the diet mentality and stepping into a new identity where fitness and nutrition are tools for long-term success, not short-term fixes.

Beyond Phase One: Entering the Super Sculpted Lifestyle

[Tijana] Stacking those early wins is just the beginning. Many people stop at that point, but we want our clients to move beyond milestone one and enter their 2.0 selves.

Building muscle is a key part of this phase. Some clients resist it at first, but we consistently emphasize that muscle is essential for metabolic health, strength, and achieving that toned, sculpted look.

Jordanna: Embracing Muscle Building

[Jordanna] In this phase, clients learn to eat more food and stay lean while building muscle. They start seeing themselves as athletes, not just someone working out to lose weight. They’re training for their future selves—lifting not just for today, but for 20 or 30 years down the road.

Marilynn: Training With Intention

[Marilynn] This phase is about purpose and quality. Clients shift from just going to the gym to check a box to training with intention. They understand that their best physique is built by fueling their bodies and lifting heavier.

The Super Sculpted Lifestyle: Defining Your 2.0 Self

[Tijana] The super sculpted lifestyle is about creating your best and fittest self. It’s not just about fitness—it’s about how you spend your days, the thoughts that fill your head, and the relationships and hobbies that bring you joy.

Like Jord said, you’ve built the foundation—now it’s time to refine it, decorate it, and make it your own. Your body is your home, and this process adds value to your life.

Key Characteristics of the Super Sculpted Lifestyle

Consistency: You have habits around eating, training, and movement. Sustainability: You’re eating as much as possible while staying lean. Intentional Training: You’re training smarter, not harder, with quality over quantity. Athlete’s Mindset: You’ve shifted your identity and now approach fitness with purpose. Elevated Standards: You’re continuously leveling up your goals and standards, which improves all areas of your life.

Takeaway: Action Steps for Your 2.0 Self

[Tijana] We encourage you to zoom out and picture your 2.0 super sculpted lifestyle. Write down what your best self looks like and reverse-engineer the habits you’d need to step into that version of yourself. Thank you so much for joining us today. This was such a fun episode, and we look forward to sharing more in the next one.
